Brewster firefighters work at the
scene of a barn fire on Burdick Road Aug. 11, 2008.
A lightning strike was the apparent cause of the
blaze that destroyed the barn that dates back to the
1800's. An antique truck in the barn was destroyed.
Firefighters from Putnam Lake assisted Brewster at
the scene.

Brewster firefighters searched the Mount Kisco
Medical Group building on Route 312 after complaints
of a gas smell July 31, 2008. The building was
evacuated as firefighters and a crew from NYSEG (New

Brewster
firefighters remove one of the injured from a
pick-up truck after it collided with a tractor
trailer on
westbound Interstate 84 at exit 20 in Southeast Dec. 20, 2007.
Firefighters had to remove the roof of the
pick-up to extricate the driver and passenger.
